Only 18% of CHW studies include CHWs in 5 or more phases of research, according to a recent scoping review.
CHW involvement across all phases of research can improve the quality of research, including studies using an experimental design.

We are group of CHWs and long-time allies who came together in 2015 to identify and promote the use of common process and outcome indicators for CHW practice. We have expanded to include a focus on building and modeling CHW leadership in research and evaluation.
