The results of the historic Community Health Workers for COVID Response and Resilient Communities (CCR) initiative are now available in a special supplement of the American Journal of Public Health (AJPH)!
CCR was the first CDC-sponsored national CHW program in the United States, supporting 67 program sites across the country. CHWs also held leadership roles in the organizations providing training, technical assistance, and evaluation support.
The supplement shares what was learned through this unprecedented national investment in Community Health Workers and CHW programs, including important work using the CHW Common Indicators.
It also demonstrates what can happen when we make meaningful, large-scale investments in CHWs — and ensure that CHWs have leadership roles in the work.
Best of all, the entire AJPH special supplement is OPEN ACCESS and free to everyone!
