The Community Health Workers (CHWs) Community of Practice How-To Guide was created to help CHWs, evaluators, and community partners build collaborative learning spaces where everyone’s knowledge and experience are valued. Developed by the CHW Center for Research and Evaluation in partnership with Arizona State University and the Washington State Evaluation Partnership, this practical guide draws from a national Evaluation Community of Practice that brought CHWs and evaluators together to learn, share, and strengthen participatory evaluation skills. Rooted in the principles of popular education and shared power, the guide offers clear steps, tools, and insights for anyone seeking to create a supportive environment that connects learning with action and transforms evaluation into a pathway for equity and community change.
