This report is dedicated to Community Health Advisors, Promotoras, es de Salud, Lay Health Advocates, Peer Educators, Community Health Representatives (Indian Health Service), and Outreach Workers, to name a few, Their work throughout the United States and the world has made a different in many lives. It has hoped, with the implementation of the recommendations outlined in this report, U.S. CHAs will be strengthened in their efforts to make a difference throughout this country. The impetus for the Study came from the struggles facing U.S. CHAs as they seek to weave a vital link between their community and health and human services systems.
